In 2005, KLK was Falcon Ridge Folk Festival 'Emerging Artist', and a finalist in the South Florida & MN Songwriting Competition. She won 1st place in Songprize's International Songwriting Competition, and 3rd place in the Midwest Songwriting Competition. She received Honorable Mention in the Great American Song Competition, and was included on the 2004 Best of Boston compilation by Baystate sound.
